Aleister Crowley: The Wickedest Man In The World

Image
Aleister Crowley was born on the 12th of October 1875 in Warwickshire, England, and was originally named Edward Alexander Crowley. He was the son of Emily Bishop and Edward Crowley, two people who had quite a bit of wealth from the family brewery and so young Edward (later Aleister) was no stranger to luxury. His dad was an evangelist for a fundamentalist Christian sect called 'The Plymouth Brethren', which his wife also joined. Young Edward went along with these Christian beliefs out of respect for his dad, but once his dad died in 1887, when the young Edward was only 11 years of age, he became hostile to the Christian concepts. He would often point out inconsistencies in the Bible's teachings and defied Christian morals throughout his schooldays. Alledgedly he killed the family cat to see if it really did have nine lives, and his mum would call him 'the great beast'. He would go on to learn about 'magick', set up his own religion, and would eve

OVERNIGHT Investigation Review: Abbey Monastery

Image
This post will be my review of the OVERNIGHT YouTube channel's investigation of what they call 'Abbey Monastery' and 'The Holy Cross Abbey Monastery'. Online, this location is known simply as 'The Abbey' and is located in Colorado, relatively close to Colorado Springs which is south of Denver. I am yet to do a post discussing the history of the members of this team and so I can only judge them based on how they conduct their investigation in this video, along with how they put the video together. As there are no psychics involved in the video, this doesn't matter so much, but it means I can't give them the benefit of the doubt if they end up 'coming across' a particular way. Anyway, we will see, and I will try my best to treat them fairly. I will go over the videos introduction up until the investigation starts, then discuss the first part of the investigation, followed by the second part of the investigation. After this, I will d

A thank you to the followers: Their Ouija board experiences

Image
This post is going to be a little different from the ones I've done before as it combines a couple of things together into one post. Firstly, I want to say a massive thank you to anyone who has read through my previous post regarding the Ouija board, and especially to anyone who has commented on that post in any of the groups I've shared it to. I've read through every single comment and both reacted and responded to it. Hearing all of your warnings, along with all of your experiences, has prompted me to create this post: an ongoing list of the experiences you have shared with me. Below, I will list all of your comments, along with my responses, as I view each one of them as important to document in order for me to create a definitive judgement of the Ouija board. Don't worry, I will keep every single one of you anonymous, unless you message me otherwise. Also please don't worry if you don't see your comment here by the time I publish this. At the tim

The Ouija Board

Image
The Ouija board is piece of investigation equipment I've owned since the October of 2022, and is something I've always wanted to know more about. Before I owned one, it seemed like a taboo item to own which would cause potential mayhem within the home you brought one into. This is, of course, because I've been raised in a world dominated by social media where mishaps regarding these boards are told both as fiction and alleged fact. I remember my first use of a Ouija board was years ago with my sister and her friend, and nothing much happened aside some gentle knocking and a candle flickering oddly when compared to the others we had lit. I remember it felt like the planchette wanted to move, but it didn't, and the session was cut short when my dad returned home earlier than we had expected. It was an odd experience which left me curious on if the board worked, and upon hearing supposedly true stories online about entities such as 'Zozo' appearing on the b

The Ostrich Inn

Image
The Ostrich Inn is located 17 miles from London in Colnbrook, England. It's the third oldest inn in England with over 900 years of history. The foundations date back to 1106, during the reign of Henry I, but the current building dates back to the 1500's. It underwent a major refurbishment in 2006, but many details such as the crooked staircase, the courtyard, the fireplace, and the wooden beams all remain the same.  The sources I will be using: 1.   The Little House of Horrors 2.   Uniqhotels 3.   Mike Dash History 4.   BBC 5.   Maidenhead Advertiser 6.   Spooky Isles 7.   News Shopper 8.   Slough Observer 9.   The Ostrich Inn's official website History Surprisingly, the Ostrich Inn has both a simple yet oddly muddled history. As I mentioned earlier, the location dates back to 1106 but the name of 'The Ostrich Inn' is what may date back to the 1500's. It's thought that the name started off as 'The Hospices and that it later could have changed

OVERNIGHT'S Haunted Homies E2: Cory's Lift Malfunction

Image
Cory's experience: "I didn't tell you about this, but this was about a month or so ago when we were at the Stanley, and I go and get in the elevator and it's about to close, and this little girl, she puts her hand and stops it, and she goes 'is it okay if I get in here with you?' And I was like 'yeah, that's fine'. So, she gets in and the door closes and in the elevator, you know, we press the number but it's not moving and I'm like 'I wonder why it's not moving?' And she goes 'oh, it's the kids' and I go 'what do you mean it's the kids?' She goes 'it's the kids here, I've been hanging out with them' and I was like 'okaaay' and she's like 'yeah, they're on the', oh I don't remember what floor she said, she's like 'they're on the third floor', or something like that, and I was like 'all right'. So then it goes up, and then she g
