Most Haunted Halloween Week PT4 Review

On the 3rd of November 2023, the Most Haunted team released the fourth part of their Halloween investigation onto their youtube channel. I'll break down this episode exactly as I did with the last episode because even though it's 1hr and 9 minutes long, not a lot happens. I won't discuss it in the same order you see the clips in the episode, instead I will discuss Yvette and Greggs investigation as a whole, then Karl's investigation, then Glen's investigation, and then finally Stuart's investigation as a whole. I will be discussing my honest opinion in this review which means there will be moments where I am critical, and moments where I will give praise. I will try to look at everything from both a believer and a skeptical side though. It's also important for me to say I have not yet seen the fifth part of the investigation before writing this review in order for me to not be at all swayed by anything that may occur in that video.

My prediction

To end my last review, I made an attempt to predict what I thought would happen in each investigation of this part 4 video. To end the last episode we were told by Yvette's narration that Karl would be in the hospital wing, Glen would be in the old cottage, Stuart would be in the psychiatric building, and that Yvette and Gregg would be in the cellars. My prediction read as follows:

'I'm really excited to see the next part. Karl by himself in the spot he got injured, and Stuart alone in the place he was experiencing doors slamming; I think both will get activity, but I'm less sure this time on how much. I think Stuart will get doors slamming and footsteps. I think Karl will get the same. As Karl is by himself, I don't think he will get injured again, but I do think he'll say about seeing faces or apparitions. He's probably going to have some sort of personal experience in that regard, but I'm not too confident on it.

I think Glen will get near to nothing in the old cottage. He may experience slight taps like what Gregg had, but I don't think it will be anything near like what Stuart had. As for Yvette and Gregg, I think tapping and maybe footsteps. It's hard to predict this one as we haven't seen the cellars yet, so I'm going to say tapping and maybe footsteps. I will be quite surprised if anyone gets any moans, although I would not put that past Karl or Stuart's sections.'

So, to summarise my prediction, I thought Karl and Stuart would get slamming doors and footsteps. I also thought Karl might have a personal experience and see an apparition or a face, but I wasn't confident regarding him seeing something like that. I thought Glen might get similar to Gregg regarding slight taps. I thought Yvette and Gregg might get taps and maybe footsteps. I also said if anyone would get moans, it would be Karl or Stuart. Let's see how accurate any of that was...

Yvette and Gregg: The Cellars

To start off Yvette and Gregg's investigation, Gregg does the complete opposite to what Karl usually does by saying 'I think this is the fanciest cellar I've ever been in in my life'. This is an extremely good comment because it isn't any of the negative narrative Karl has been pushing in each of his segments, so it was refreshing to hear Gregg say this. It's also good how Gregg has phrased it, because he hasnt called the cellar positive or negative. All he has done is say it's fancy.

Yvette makes a comment on the emergency lighting in the cellar too, and that she can't turn it off. This is good for us viewers because it removes the possibility for us to question why certain lights are kept on. As they walk through the cellars, a rumble sound occurs which Gregg says sounds like people talking at the far end. Yvette says she can hear someone breathing and Gregg comments saying he can hear rumbling above them. What to me sounds like a door slamming occurs, although Gregg calls it 'a big bang'. One thing in particular I like about Gregg and Yvette's investigation is their constant questioning of the noises they hear. Yvette walks into a room where the bang seems to have come from, and she sees what looks like a big ventilation tube so says it could have been wind coming through that.

The next segment starts with Yvette saying people can be heard above them, and Gregg questions if it's Karl they can hear. A brief discussion occurs between the two as to what the space would have been used for before the hospital existed, and Yvette speculates that it could have been used as wine cellars. Gregg says he can hear noises in the far end of where they are, and says he doesn't know if it's naturally occuring. Yvette says it could be the wind as there is a link to outside, and again, I have to say I really like Gregg and Yvette trying to find natural explanations to what would usually be immediately labelled as paranormal.

Gregg puts the camera down to try and get himself and Yvette in complete view as they they call out. This is a fantastic thing which all cameramen should do, and it's a shame that it only seems to be Gregg who reliably does this filming technique each time while he investigates. Usually, the cameraman keeps hold of the camera, but really they need to get themselves on camera to show it isn't them making the noises.

Gregg says he can hear voices again, and Yvette agrees adding that it sounds like a female voice. It's important for me to say here that you can't hear what Gregg and Yvette say they hear for the bulk of their investigation. You can hear the occasional rumble and the occasional really faint chatter but nothing as frequent as what they claim to hear it. This could just be the camera not picking it up properly though, or their own voices drowning out the sounds they hear.

When discussing the possibility of a naturally occuring female voice, Gregg says there is a woman and her boyfriend present in the property to look after the property and aside from them only the five Most Haunted team members are present. Gregg says 'they're off in a room, not outside in the park'. I find this discussion really good as they've acknowledged there are people aside the five team members present, although I do find it really funny given what Karl experiences later.

Yvette points out to Gregg that she can hear the rain, and both call out for things to happen. Another great thing is Gregg hears a noise and asks Yvette if it was her stomach, and she says it was. It was quite a funny moment as it reminded me of the SNL sketch from years ago with Hugh Laurie, but it's also a good moment because again it's them looking for natural explanations to what they're hearing at the time. Gregg then says he can hear a sound, which Yvette doesn't seem to hear, and so he imitates it as being similar to a sawing sound. Yvette knocks and asks the spirit to copy her, but nothing happens. She then, quite abruptly, asks Gregg what he's feeling. I feel she's done this as she knows nothing is happening, and that she needs to keep it interesting for viewers. It's good to see conversation being used to do this rather than activity. Gregg tells her that he isn't feeling anything, and that the cabinets remove the atmosphere as they make the place be more like storage.

The next part of the investigation starts with muffled noises occuring, and Yvette saying she can hear voices again. Gregg says it sounds like a crowd of people, and again Yvette says she can hear a woman's voice. Gregg says you'd think it could be the person looking after the property, but that it sounds like there are four people with them. Again, it's good to see rational explanations trying to be applied to these situations. Yvette calls out 'hello' and a hushed female voice can be heard saying 'hello'. I have issues with this. Neither Gregg or Yvette hear it, and they've been hearing all sorts of sounds that the camera hasn't picked up at all. Also, when 'enhanced', it sounds like the background becomes louder but the voice remains the same volume. This all suggests to me that it was an audio overlay. I could be very wrong, but when it's enhanced it seems like someone's enhanced the raw footage volume but then forgotten to also make the overlay louder with it. It also seems odd that this happens after Yvette's insistence on hearing a female voice which we can never hear, and it's odd that her and Gregg leave the area immediately after.

Now, does the overlay, if it is an overlay, mean Yvette and Gregg are faking things? No. It's possible for an audio overlay to be used in the episode and for Yvette and Gregg to be none the wiser as to it being an overlay. Potentially, the only one to know for sure would be the editor of the footage and I will discuss that more in a short while.

After going to the other end of the cellars, Gregg places the camera down again to make sure the full body shot of himself and Yvette is achieved again. Yvette says she heard a shuffle near to the camera, and Gregg says he heard the sound too but that it sounded like it came from behind him. Both of them then hear the shuffling noise come from down the corridor. They also both say they heard a thunk, and again Yvette says it could be the ventilation tube. She does, however, point out that they didn't hear the sound occur while they were in that room earlier. Gregg then tries to work out where everyone is in relation to them so that they know if other team members were making noise, which direction that noise would naturally come from.

The final part of Yvette and Gregg's investigation starts with Yvette asking the spirits to make a noise near to her and Gregg. They do hear a noise, but Gregg says it's just the wind. He puts the camera down again and Yvette introduces herself to the spirits. Gregg does to in the very funny, and slightly awkward, way of 'I'm Gregg, hiiii' in a singular tone which reminds me of Scott Pilgrim. Both then comment on hearing a noise at the end again, and Gregg describes it the same way he described his experience in the cottage and the hospital wing.

A noise, like a drag, occurs and Gregg says it sounds like someone's fallen over, and jokes about that someone being Karl. When calling out, Yvette makes a point about saying she doesn't want the camera to be knocked off, but then Gregg does the brilliant thing of telling the spirit to knock the camera off where it's sat. Yvette does argue with him a little, but Gregg says he reckons he could get to it in time before it hits the floor, and then reinforces him wanting the spirit to knock it off by saying he and Yvette now have a bet going over if he could reach it in time. I found this bit really fun and really good as you don't often see teams ask for activity at the expense of the undoubtedly expensive equipment.

Unfortunately the camera doesn't fall, but you do hear the squeaky sound of chairs moving above them. Both Gregg and Yvette hear the sounds, and Gregg does say it sounded like chairs. A mostly brilliant thing is then done in the episode. Gregg looks at the time code on the camera, saying it's 22:08, and says they can check the time codes of the other cameras to make sure that sound wasn't any other team member. Narration tells us they did check and footage is shows of where everyone was during that time code. I really like this being done, however, we are just taking their word for it as the time code is not visibly on screen for any piece of footage captured.

Yvette calls out for the shuffling to happen again and says she can hear a noise at the other end of the corridor again. While walking through the corridor towards where the noise came from, Yvette stops and asks Gregg to go back a bit, and then she walks through that part of tunnel again. This is when she tells Gregg about a whine she just heard and wasn't sure if it was just the change in acoustics as she walked through that bit of tunnel. This is great as she's tried replicating the sound by recreating her movements. The only thing though is, to me, it sounds more like a whistle than a whine and her recreation isn't that close to the sound. It's odd that she was quite far off with what the noise was given she says it occured right next to her.

Gregg then says he can hear a noise at the other end of the corridor again and that it's giving them the runaround, which is the exact same comment he's made about the spirits in the hospital corridor and old cottage. Yvette then comments that 'it's so subtle the cameras aren't picking it up' which I found odd as for all Yvette knows the cameras might be picking it up. To sound so certain about the cameras not picking it up when they haven't looked at the footage yet makes me question things I shouldn't be questioning. Comments are then made about Karl probably having to enhance the footage to an extreme amount in order to make those subtle noises heard. This confirms that it is Karl who looks at and edits the footage. It could be a team effort, but Karl is the only named team member out of the investigations I've seen who has been linked with the editing process. This is interesting as I have suspicions about Karl, and these are further enhanced knowing if any overlays are added, then it would be him who has added them.

Karl: The Hospital Wing/Upper Living Quarters

To start Karl's investigation, he immediately says he isn't looking forward to it and isn't happy about going to the hospital wing. This is understandable though given that he claims to have been attacked when last in there. A bang occurs off camera as he makes his way to his area, and he does say that it could have just been everyone else going to their areas. This is good acknowledgement which he didn't have to do here, so it's appreciated that he was truthful in saying everyone has only just parted ways. Another off camera bang does occur though and he doesn't say this was possibly also other members of the team.

He does quite an interesting thing next of trying to have his face in shot, along with the corridor he's going down, as he walks backwards. It was in a way good as it attempts to show any noises aren't him, and it shows anything down the corridor which may move. He then calls out 'hello' as he does this, and says he forgot to call out as he's so scared. He talks quite a lot about how scared he is in this location, and I understand it but don't appreciate it from someone who should be used to exploring these kinds of locations as he has been doing it for over twenty years at this point. Any talk of how scared he is only serves to build the tension and make it a more entertaining watch, something legitimate paranormal investigators shouldn't be concerned about. He also shows, through a door window, where they were all stood during the first video when the key was thrown. He doesn't go in there to investigate though, which again is odd if that was a legitimate piece of activity they caught.

The next segment for Karl really doesn't have much happen in it. He wanders down a corridor calling out 'can you show yourself' and says he's feeling a bit braver. He also immediately contradicts his newfound bravery by saying he doesn't want to go into a small room and that he's really scared. This leads him to going upstairs where he assumes to now be surrounded by private rooms, whereas downstairs was the wards.

Karl's third segment starts with him saying he's heard the sound of a door immediately after he's just walked through a door, and he wonders if that sound possibly could have been the door he has just walked through. I appreciate he tries recreating the sound with the door, but I really don't like how he goes about doing it. To recreate the sound, he opens the door the smallest amount. This isn't a fair replication as to walk through a door you need to fully open it, so surprise surprise, the door doesn't make the sound he heard when it does close. He pushes it open a little further and still isn't convinced, but says it could have been that door. This replication just comes across as a waste of time due to how innacurate his replicating is.

He then walks past a room and a very loud thud happens along with what sounds like something falling. In a way it's quite a funny moment as it does look like Karl nearly fell over. He then says which room the sound occured from, followed by 'I'm not going in there'. I have a huge issue with him saying that. He's a paranormal investigator. His job is to hear unexplainable sounds and explain them. This involves going into the room you've heard the sound from, so for him to so defiantly say he isn't going in there is ludicrous. Thankfully, he does eventually go in there after saying that there is only one entrance and exit to that room.

Now, important points. The sound you can hear of something falling is never addressed, and I'm not entirely convinced from listening to the audio that the sound did come from the room Karl says it does. However, there's no proof to the contrary so I'm going to take Karl's word for it, and by doing that I have one massive question: why can you hear footsteps behind him as he checks the room? He goes into the room and while he checks behind the door, you can hear what sounds to me like three footsteps running behind him. These sounds occur between 36:13 and 36:17 if you want to check the footage yourself. To me it seems very much so that he's filmed in a deliberate way so that someone isnt caught on camera, and then as the camera is showing behind the door, this someone runs past a bit too loud. The sounds could be Karl, however he seems a bit too still in this moment to be making such loud sounds. Another explanation could be that it's the door, but it seems a bit odd to me.

There is also lots of suspense to him just opening a cupboard door, which could be interpreted as him giving whoever is with him enough time to leave the area. This is where he describes the sound he originally heard as a door slamming, but there is no mention of whatever you can also hear fall in the audio. He leaves the room and again says it was definitely from in there. He also says he's seeing things everywhere now and 'this is what you're here for'. I'm glad he finally acknowledges exactly what I've been criticising him for. If, as a paranormal investigator, you are still getting this over dramatic, this reluctant to investigate, and this spooked after twenty years of investigating; I think you need to rethink your career choices. I've said the exact same thing about Stuart in previous reviews, so it's only fair I say the same about Karl.

Karl calls out for the noise he heard to happen again, and he hears what he says is a 'door opening', although I thought it sounded like a door slamming. He also says where he is is more sinister than all of the other places, which is again more of the over dramatic tension building he seems so keen on. He's experienced a loud bang and a couple of door sounds... none of that strikes me as sinister. If he was being scratched or hearing ugly voices, then I'd get it. Even if he said he saw a face or shadow figure, then I'd get it. With what he's experienced so far? No. Karl hasn't experienced anything sinister so far in the video.

Finally, Karl's last section starts with him saying he's really on edge and that he's even been scared by the door creaking. This is when the funniest thing I have ever seen in a Most Haunted video occurs. No one even labels it as paranormal, just as 'all manner of noises'. Karl opens a door, and stops outside the door while holding it open. The camera is on the side of his face as he looks in. What you then hear is so funny as it sounds like he has literally walked in on two ghosts going at it. You hear six quick banging sounds followed by a female sigh and a male groan, all in quick succession. The noises stop, Karl turns to the camera, turns back to the open door, says 'hello', turns back to the camera, closes the door, and walks away. It's such a funny moment as Karl doesn't go in the room, he doesn't even describe what he heard. It plays out very much so like he's walked in on something he wasn't supposed to see. What makes it even funnier is that earlier in the episode Gregg says a woman and her boyfriend are in the property somewhere to look after it. There are three options here. Either the audio is overlayed, ghosts are going at it, or the woman and her boyfriend are. I will let you decide which you think it is.

Karl, unsurprisingly, swiftly leaves the door and a loud creaking occurs. He doesn't comment on this sound, but it could just be the door closing. He then hears a couple of loud bangs and says he heard footsteps. This is where he decides to go back downstairs while saying he's 'shitting himself' and that there's something up there that wants to scare him. He also says he doesn't want to be on his own. A door slams behind him, and he says he isn't going in the small rooms as he doesn't want to be caught in one where he can't get out. That's fair enough regarding the small rooms, but he's practically running out of the building at this point. Nothing at all has happened to warrant this response from him, and it just shows really poor investigating.

Yvette and Gregg/Karl: Final Bit

The footage does cut back to Yvette and Gregg for a wierd segment where they splice footage together from their camera and Karl's. It starts with Yvette and Gregg hearing a bang from upstairs, which is possibly the door slam Karl heard. This leads Yvette and Gregg to going upstairs and they see Karl stood far away at the end of the corridor. They have a wierdly cut, so that you can clearly hear both sides, conversation about the bang sound and it's established that Karl didn't cause the bang they heard. Yvette and Glen say they thought it occured directly above them, which Karl clearly wasn't. Yvette says the conversation proves it couldn't have been Karl and that everyone was further away than they thought. Gregg reinforces this by saying they were really far away from anyone. Back with Karl, he hears some more noises and finds what he says would have been the x-ray bit of the hospital. He also says there isn't anyone there and that he really doesn't want to be there, and so leaves.

Glen: The Old Cottage

Glen's investigation starts with him entering the cottage, calling out 'hello', and asking if anyone is there. He says the location is very atmospheric and makes a really good point. The good point is that he says 'maybe you see this cottage as when you lived here' and 'do you welcome visitors, or do you see me as an intruder?' This is fantastic because it is a valid theory being questioned by Glen on if a spirit potentially sees the location as it was when they were alive, or if they see it as it is today. Sadly, no legitimate investigation goes into seeing which is the case, but it's still lvery good to see him pose the question.

Another extremely good point is that he says he can hear tapping, but strongly suspects it to just be rain getting in. This is fantastic, and is along the lines of what Gregg experienced in the same location. In the review I did for that, I said the tapping was likely just Gregg hearing the rain, so it's good to see Glen go with the same theory here. You do see there are holes in the ceiling, so rain getting in is very likely causing this tapping sound. Glen also asks the spirit if they can knock back, and he knocks but gets no response. He even highlights the fact he gets no response, which is great.

He decides to go upstairs and this where a moment I disagree with occurs. He goes up the first flight and you hear him exhale. When he goes up a few more stairs, a noise is highlighted by Yvette's narration as a female voice saying 'hello'. I disagree with this because to me the noise matches sounds you hear through Glen's investigation of him exhaling. It doesn't sound like it says 'hello' at all, it just seems like him breathing out. It's wierd that the only bits of significant activity Glen seems to get in his solo investigations is Yvette telling us that a noise has occured which Glen knows nothing about.

When the camera cuts back to Glen, he seems quite tired, drained, and fed up. He says 'I think you're afraid of me' and practically begs for the spirits to throw something, slam a door, or do anything at all. He tells us that it's really quiet and then notices the attic space above him, and tries to get a shot of inside that space. He also points out an open window in the location and says it's a drafty place to be. He knocks on the wall and asks again for the spirit to copy him, but again nothing happens. He also says it's disappointing when nothing happens.

Glen's final segment starts with him asking for a tap to be turned on, or for a cupboard door to close. He also points out the other attic entrance and calls the location eerie, but says that it's the rain and wind which are making it eerie. He also says he felt a breeze on his face, but then says it was likely just from the hole in the ceiling. Glen also explains that he's experienced so much that can cause physical harm, and that's where the nerves of investigating the paranormal come from. I quite like that he's explained that as it's not something investigators often open up about. I also really like that he's done a couple of things Karl would usually do but immediately explained them away. It makes me wonder if they're subtle jabs against these common Most Haunted remarks. That's just purely speculation though.

Glen also says that the mind can work overtime in a place like that, which is very true. He decides to go back downstairs, and as he does you can hear him exhale and it really does sound like the same noise Yvette discusses via narration earlier. This time it isn't highlighted though. When downstairs, he briefly looks in the pantry, and calls out again saying it's the last chance for the spirit to do something. Again, nothing happens, so he says goodnight and leaves.

Stuart: The Psychiatric Building

Stuart's investigation begins with him saying he's already got an uneasy feeling, but to be fair, he does say that could be down to it being a hospital wing for very ill patients and that he's there at night with the wind and rain outside. He also says he won't say anything bad as he doesn't want to be disrespectful to the patients. You can hear clunks sounds, possibly doors, happen either side of the corridor. This is all that happens by this point, which isn't really much, but it causes Stuart to say 'it's all going down' and 'I'm welded to the floor'. It sounds like something is thrown and he says 'this isn't gonna go well' and stays still. I really don't appreciate these over exaggerations, and as I've said in other reviews, if this is Stuart's reaction after roughly twenty years of investigating then he shouldn't be investigating.

His next section starts with him saying 'there's noises from all around' and he then goes into the room he heard the screws in during the definitely video. He shows the screws on the table, and then says 'if you're gonna do it, do it' along with 'make it quick and make it painless'. This is the start of this narrative of Stuart dying, which is why I've chosen that image of Stuart 'being dead' for the thumbnail of this post. He just goes on and on about how he feels like he might die in that investigation, and it just comes across as really over dramatic.

Slight rattling then occurs from within the room, and he responds with 'slow down guys, slow down'. This is the opposite of what any legitimate paranormal investigator wants. If you get activity, you want it to ramp up, not slow down as Stuart says. Stuart should be wanting evidence, but now that he's possibly getting evidence he wants it to slow down? It makes no sense and portrays Stuart as a rubbish paranormal investigator. He even follows this up by saying 'if I've not shit my pants within the next five minutes, that, honest to god, will be an absolute miracle'. For that sentence I have labelled Stuart Torvill as the Karl Pilkington of paranormal investigators, because that is exactly how Karl Pilkington would react after eating a curry on a visit to India.

In fact, everything Stuart says during this investigation is exactly what I would expect from Karl Pilkington if he was in this situation. Stuart next says that he can feel eyes on him, and that he can feel the energy and vibrations. It's just absolute nonsense, and also reminds me of what Derek Acorah would come out with on the programme. I wouldn't mind him being like this so much if stuff had actually happened, but so far he's experienced barely anything. He then says he can hear a voice in the distance. When walking through the corridor he starts saying 'I'm walking into something I know nothing about', and I found that moment so funny as he says that, and finds the cells immediately after which Karl and Yvette also seemingly knew nothing about. He then immediately walks away from them.

This is where Stuart finally decides to go through some doors and go upstairs. Upon going through the doors, he starts saying even more nonsense. What he says includes: 'I love you all, I love everyone', 'these may be my last moments', and he even asks 'are these my last moments'. This whole segment is an absolute joke, especially as you see no evidence for him being so scared. Even Karl wasn't rattling on like this. As he's going up the stairs he says 'I feel like I'm walking the plank', and 'these stairs may as well lead me to hell'. Once upstairs he says 'please god, please look after me' along with lots more praying to God and going on about how much of a good person he is. He also says he doesn't feel good, and that there's an overpowering energy. He then goes in a room, sits on a table, 'dies', and the camera cuts to a different group.

When it cuts back to Stuart, after a moment he then wakes up from his power nap and gets off the table. He kneels in front of the camera and says he's done that to steady himself as he feels like he's going to fall over. He then also says a really comedic bit about the atmosphere grabbing you by the balls and that it won't let go. It's really funny, but also makes a mockery of real paranormal investigators. He says he feels like he's being pushed and pulled and then heavy footsteps occur from outside the room Stuart is in. He turns the camera to point it at the door, and says the spirit is walking and that it's walking towards him.

Next is what can only be described as a segment from scooby doo. Stuart gets up, creeps towards the door, gets his torch out, and then quickly steps out into the corridor as so to surprise whoever was there. He then walks behind the door, and I fully expected to hear him scream because of how ridiculous his whole investigation is. Thankfully he doesn't scream, but he may be 'possessed'. It's just my interpretation of the footage as no one ever says the word 'possessed', but he seems different when he enters the room. When he walks back in, he stands still for a moment doing nothing in front of the camera. He then picks up the camera and there are so many shots of him standing still, doing nothing, saying nothing, with the camera pointed at his face for wierd lengths of time.

After not saying anything to the camera for ages, he breaks the silence by whispering 'silence speaks volumes'. It's such a funny moment that I was crying with laughter at it. He tells us that no one was on the other side of the door, still while whispering, and then says something which causes his mouth to be blurred and his voice to be muted. You can hear 'I do believe I have' and then you can't hear anything else. I've rewatched a few times, and I believe he says 'I do believe I have pissed and shit my pants', which again, is very Karl Pilkington. I also don't know why it was blurred out as he's said very similar earlier on. Again, I don't know for sure that this is what's said, but based on his mouth movements, syllables, and context; it more than likely is.

Some movement then occurs, and so he says he can hear movement and leaves the room. He begs the spirit not to harm him and says he isn't there to disrespect them in any way, and that he's going to leave. A door slams behind him, and he walks over to test doors while saying he's leaving. He tests the first door, determines it wasn't that one, says 'fuck it', and leaves before testing any others. Again, awful investigating. He's heard a sound, he thinks it's one of those doors, he should at the very least stay and test which door it is.

He then makes a strange gasping sound as he approaches the stairs and says something's just walked through him. He says it's like someone's just walked over his grave and stares at the camera for ages again while saying nothing at all. This silence is broken by him saying 'it's gone' and 'the atmosphere's now changed'. He again repeats that something's walked through him, and even describes it as a spiritual awakening. He further elaborates on this by saying it felt like a mixture of fear, dread, and hallelujah. He finally decides to go downstairs and leave the building, not saying a word for ages again as he does. Once outside, he says 'what a relief that is' which is followed by a really abrupt cut to the next team. I laughed quite a bit at that cut.

My Thoughts

I feel really bad for Gregg and Glen. We'll have to see what happens in the next video, but at this point I think they are definitely legitimate members of the team who actually want to investigate the paranormal. I think Yvette could be too, but I'm still deciding on that. Either way, Karl and Stuart are an embarrassment to the paranormal community. I would not investigate a location if I knew Karl or Stuart were on the team. Both of them are so overdramatic, and neither really investigate. At least Karl tries checking behind doors.

During this investigation you've got Karl being afraid of his own shadow, and Stuart constantly saying he think he'll die and that he doesn't want the spirits to do anything when they start doing something. This isn't the attitude of people who are interested in the paranormal and legitimately want to prove its existence. Their antics should be nowhere near paranormal investigating, and for all as know I could be proven very wrong during the next part. I want to have my mind changed, but Karl and Stuart in this episode were just ridiculous.

Now, as for Gregg, Glen, and Yvette; I think they did alright. I really like Gregg's filming technique of putting the camera down to get full body shots, and I like how all three of these people tried applying normal explanations to things certain other investigators wouldn't have. Again, my predictions seemed quite accurate for this episode. Glen did get near to nothing, and acknowledged the tapping which Gregg heard in the cottage. Yvette and Gregg did hear tapping and footsteps, albeit faint. Karl didn't get injured again, and didn't even try to replicate it as he avoided that section of the building altogether. He did get a male moan though, along with doors slamming and footsteps. I wasn't right about his possibly seeing a face or apparitions, but he did say he started to see all sorts of things. Stuart also got doors slamming and footsteps.

My Predictions For Next Time:

The episode ended with Yvette telling us that Gregg was going to be in the psychiatric building, that Karl and Stuart were together again in the upper living quarters, and that herself and Glen were in the witches cottage. Surely a tap is going to turn on. If Glen had it, I'm sure Karl and Stuart will have it. I'm still expecting one of them to see an apparition of some sort as we've had Stuart see light anomalies and Karl's seen a face in a window. Again, definite tapping, definite slamming of doors, and definite footsteps. I do think some sort of voice may occur too. As I said in my prediction the last time they were together, all bets are off.

As for Gregg, I think he's going to get tapping. Each investigation so far he's only really had faint tapping, so I think it will continue. He may get footsteps, but I dont think it will be loud or clear. For Glen and Yvette, I'd absolutely love for something significant to happen, but I just don't think it will. I think possible tapping, and maybe something that might be an audio overlay. I've seen the thumbnail for the video and it looks like Yvette might do some scrying, so I think she'll see a face in the mirror if she does.

Thank you for reading to the end of this post! I'm really sorry that I've published it a bit later than I intend on doing, but I've had family stuff going on so haven't been quite as productive as I usually aim to be.
