The Mermaid Inn

Image
The Mermaid Inn is an extremely old location in England. This building is so old that it dates all the way back to the medieval era of the 1100s, and it's even thought that the street the inn lies on was named after the inn. Across the many years, the Mermaid Inn has seen it's fair share of violence through a French raid during 1377, and then through its unofficial owenership by the brutal Hawkhurst smuggling gang during the 1730s and 1740s. In more recent years, the inn has had a far less dramatic life, although has drawn the attention of many famous individuals who have stayed here as guests. With such a long history, the Mermaid Inn has a whole host of spirits said to haunt the location; ranging from silhouettes to full-body apparitions. Maids have been too frightened to clean a room by themselves, an employee has quit because of the activity he had witnessed, and a couple even refused to stay the whole night in their room.  History Located in the sou

OVERNIGHT'S Haunted Homies E3: Kylie's Empathic Experiences

Image
If you aren't familiar with this type of post, the purpose of it is to highlight an experience someone has shared with the world in some way. This post's experience comes from Kylie and was shared during an interview she did with the OVERNIGHT team on youtube. She wrote an experience to the team, they read it out during one of their shows, and then interviewed her about it on the stage. I've transcribed both the experience and the interview, which you can read below. Due to the OVERNIGHT team sometimes going off topic with their interviews by including some jokes, the places where (...)   is featured are where I've cut these small portions out. Also, I've tried to transcribe as accurately as I can to exactly how everything is spoken. Kylie's Experience 'So, many of my family members that have been in my childhood home have had paranormal experiences in the house; mainly noises when they're alone, or full-body apparitions. I never did, which k

Charnock Hall

Image
Charnock Hall is a grade II listed building, and is located in Lancashire, England; more specifically on Balcarres Road, formerly known as Sandy Lane before the 1930's, in Preston. Despite having the word 'hall' in it's name, Charnock Hall is not the grand manor house that springs to mind, but rather is just a plain white house that looks perfectly ordinary. As a grade II listing building, the location is old, however doesn't have at all much documented about it online; presumably being as it's just a privately owned house. The most interesting source I've managed to find on the property comes from someone claiming to be the sister in law of the woman who lived there at some point in 2021. This woman bought the location at some point after Most Haunted investigated it in 2002. During that source she talks about the history of the property, along with the hauntings. I've used other sources too, but if the woman in this source is the sister in

Beardo Gets Scared

Image
As you can tell from the above image, this post is going to be, in some ways, quite different to the posts I've done previously. This post won't be discussing any locations, and it won't be a review. Instead this post will be a documentation of the youtube channel 'Beardo Gets Scared' and the man who runs it: Beardo. This post will be similar to those I've done previously regarding the 'Most Haunted' team, the 'Help My House Is Haunted' team, 'Ghosts of Britain', Ed and Lorraine Warren, plus Aleister Crowley. With Beardo being a YouTuber, I didn't expect to be writing much, but was pleasantly surprised to end up with three pages worth of notes. To gather the information I will discuss, I have been watching his videos and live streams for a couple of months now, and so all information is from these videos. I can't remember in which video he's said what, so instead of linking individual videos, I'm going to link
