Adam's Haunted Infirmary

Image
This article will discuss an experience shared by Adam Kimmel, the owner of Fairfield Infirmary; which is the location of this interview. He was interviewed by the OVERNIGHT paranormal investigation team during their fifth episode of Haunted Homies; a series of videos on their YouTube channel where they invite their fans on stage to share their experiences. This brief segment is part of a much larger interview, but this was the only part which I felt to be particularly relevant to paranormal experiences. The two members of the OVERNIGHT team which interviewed Adam were Elton Castee and Corey Scherer, and the video was uploaded to YouTube on the 19th of December 2022. You can find a link to the full episode at the end of this article.  I have transcribed both the initial question from Elton and Adam's response as best as I can. Where you see (...)   this indicates a break in the transcript. These breaks are used to cut moments where the interview goes off topic, usu...

Mary King's Close

Image
Mary King's Close, also known as 'The Real Mary King's Close', is located in the city of Edinburgh, Scotland. This location is not your typical building, but instead is a 'close' which is a Scottish term for a narrow alleyway. While not knowing exactly when the close came to be, the earliest information I've found about it dates to the 1500s. As this location was a cramped and tightly packed area, it was heavily effected by the plague until the plague began to disappear from Scotland after 1660. The close itself was reopened to the public during 1685. The unique thing about this location is it resembles an underground street. It's 'roof' was added when the Royal Exchange was built above it during 1753. The close has had a few names over the years, but it's current name comes from someone believed to have once lived here; Mary King. She was seemingly an influential woman, and gained the ability to vote as a woman three hundred year...

Jason has had conflicts with the owner of this property in recent years, but has successfully defended himself from accusations, and tries to stick up for others targeted by the owner.  History     Jason Hawes was born on the 27th of December 1971 in Canandaigua, which is a city in New York, America. His full name is Jason Conrad Hawes, and his height is 6ft 1. When he was young, his family moved to New York. When he was roughly seven years old, his dad was offered a posi...

The Manor House Hotel

Image
The Manor House Hotel is located in County Durham, England. This is one of two locations under a similar name within County Durham. These two locations are only a twenty minute drive from one another, and so both locations seem to be commonly confused with one another. This makes it common for sources to use incorrect images or information which pertains to the other location. The Manor House Hotel in Ferryhill dates back to the late 1500s, or early 1600s, and the first known owner obtained the property during 1615. Two prominent family's who have owned the property are the Shaw family and the Arrowsmith family. A few hauntings are attributed to this location, but it's unclear if any of these have been mixed up with the nearby location. A common haunting attributed to this location is that of a woman who is said to be searching for her child. History     The Manor House Hotel is specifically located on Market Street, in Ferryhill, which is within County Durham. The...
