Halloween

Image
Halloween is celebrated each year on October 31st. It's become associated with dressing up, going to parties, eating lots of sweets, lighting carved pumpkins, and watching horror films. I believe in all of these modern day celebrations, the true reason for the day has become lost to most who partake in the celebrations, and so this post will detail the history or the day, and the two days which follow. It won't say every single detail of Halloween's history, but will provide all of the main points. I will answer any questions in the comments, or update the post if I or anyone else feels something significant has been missed.  Samhain Samhain, pronounced 'Sow-in' or 'Sah-win', is the original form of Halloween and is an ancient Celtic festival which existed around 2000 years ago. The Celts resided in Western Europe, particularly in north Western Europe; so England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and the north of France. The festival took place on the 3

Stockport Flat Investigation 2

Image
In the image above you can see the full list of words the Spirit Talker app said during my investigation of a flat in the Stockport area of England on the 2nd of May 2021. At the time, this app was the only piece of equipment I owned and I was skeptical on how legitimate it was as a real investigation tool. Looking at the list of words now, I can see little context behind what was said. The first two words 'Find' and 'Fortune' could be related, but as there is no further mention of a fortune in this list, I doubt it. It's interesting that the word 'Find' is repeated in this list, and I would assume the probability of this repetition occurring to be unlikely. As I publish more lists to this blog, more of an indication to how rare this phenomena is will be seen and commented on. I also found 'Are you afraid' very interesting as I don't get the impression the spirit was saying it in a threatening way. If you look at the words, the only n

Touch activated light up cat balls and bear

Image
Some equipment I have recently started using is a touch activated light up bear and three cat balls which work in the same way. The images I will use in this post are courtesy of spiritshack.co.uk which sells everything you could need for conducting an investigation. These devices work in the same way which is why I've made this post discussing them both. If they are touched then they light up. I find the bear is more effective, and this could be because the spirit of a child could recognise the bear and want to play with it.  I've seen videos of investigations where the bear has fallen over. I've not yet experienced this, but I'm skeptical if it is to fall backwards because as you can see, there is a large battery on the bears back which acts as a weight pulling it backwards. Another disadvantage of the bear is that it's difficult to place the battery. There is a possibility of damaging wires as you accidentally squish the bear to fit the ba

Spirit Talker App

Image
Through all of my investigations I have used the Spirit Talker app. It is a random word generator and is believed that spirits can manipulate this to communicate with an investigator. For example, you could ask the spirit what it's name is and the name 'Emily' could be the next word the generator says, indicating that the spirits name is Emily.  In the image above, you can see the home page for the Spirit Talker app. The start button switches it on and it will start generating words, and the off button stops this. A huge advantage of this app is the folder button. The app saves each session in the folder section along with the date the investigation occured, the time it started, each word spoken, and the time each word was spoken. This is incredibly useful for analysing the data collected during investigations. The name of the file can be edited and I edit this to show the location so that I know where the investigation took place. No dates or times in the list

Introduction

Image
I am currently 24 years old and have always been interested in the paranormal. Recently I have bought some equipment, and have found a team to investigate with. This has encouraged me to create this blog where I can record our findings. In the past I've done a few investigations of locations not known to be haunted using a random word generator on my tablet in order to gain a good baseline of what the data should look like in 'inactive' locations. I will upload these results to this blog and comment on what I believe they show, as well as theories I have.  The table you can see in the image shows the results I gained when very briefly testing the app for the first time. The minimum time between words is 38s, maximum time between words is 58s, and the average is 51.667s. The green arrows indicate a decrease in time taken to provide a reply. A theory I intend on testing with tables like this is that spirits cannot consistently communicate with our known world due
