Journal Entry 5

2/10/22 - Entry 5

The time is 23:41 and I am researching the Warren's museum. I was recommended by YouTube a video of a team, channel OVERNIGHT, who investigated the Warren's museum.

Notes On Protection

. Imagine your aura surrounded in a bright white light
. Ask God to protect you from anything evil otherworldly, demonic, or inhuman

Ed Warren, according to Tony (last name I can't remember, but leads the group the Warrens founded), used that protection as did Lorraine and those they work with use it and it apparently works. It adds as protection because the evil will use any weakness in aura.

According to the Warrens 9PM-6AM is when spirits are active, 3AM is the most active and most dangerous hour.

My Present Thoughts

I remember this journal entry was prompted by me discovering the OVERNIGHT team's investigation of the Warren museum, and so I felt it important to document this. The Warren museum was owned by the paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, and it contains many objects which are said to have various attachments to them. As a result, this museum is considered one of the most haunted locations, and one of the most dangerous given the quantity of objects it contains which have had connections to demonic cases and possessions.

Following the deaths of Ed and Lorraine Warren, the museum hadn't been investigated by anyone aside the team they founded and the museum was closed to the public. This is what intrigued me about the OVERNIGHT team investigating it. I hadn't watched too much of OVERNIGHT by this point, but they came across to me as a YouTube investigation team, and not anything close to scientific. I'm still torn on them and how legitimate they are today, so it made me very curious to see that they've been allowed to investigate this location which no other team has been allowed to investigate. It made me wonder what made them different from other investigators. I'm thinking, from what I've seen of their investigations, that it's a mix of belief and having a large following.

The Tony I referred to is Tony Spera, Ed and Lorraine's son-in-law, and the group the Warrens founded is NESPR. Another reason for me writing this entry is the context around me getting a ouija board around the time I wrote this. I felt it incredibly important to make notes on protection as a 'just in case' for if there really was anything legitimate to the board. I don't think I had bought the board by this time, I know I definitely hadn't investigated with it yet, but documenting protection was still important to me.

It was interesting to see a specific window of time for activity to be discussed. It was important for me to make a note of this window so that I could investigate within the window and outside of the window, compare results, and then see if there is any truth to this claim. In theory, judging from what the Warrens have said, using a ouija board at 3am would guarantee results. Ed and Lorraine Warren are arguably the most famous paranormal investigators, and many believe them to have been legitimate, so what they say should be true. In my mind, if I was to conduct a series of investigations with a ouija board at 3am and have no activity, then the Warrens would be proven as frauds. Bearing in mind that the location I intended on investigating to test this was not at all haunted, it made for an excellent test for the Warren's claims. If the board could open portals and summon the demonic, and if 3am was the most dangerous time, then it shouldn't matter if there are resident spirits in a location. In theory, the board would open a portal and bring the spirits. This was my logic.

Through my logic, you could see why I was researching protection and making notes on it if ever it was mentioned in a video I watched. I view the paranormal as something very provable, and it baffles me that it hasn't been proven yet. At least, it baffles me if you go off the fear mongering view which is often pushed by YouTube teams and adamant believers in the demonic. I do believe in the paranormal, and I think the demonic could potentially exist in metaphor, but I don't think it works in such a dangerous way as what the Warrens preached.

The aura method of protection is incredibly interesting to me as I know it's similar to a method of protecting against the emotions of others. I remember reading a while back that if you are an empath, then you can pick up the emotions of others, and to protect against this then you have to imagine a shield around you which blocks the incoming emotions. I'll need to do more research on this, but if I'm remembering that correctly then it's an interesting bit of consistency regarding spiritual protection.

Thank You!

Thank you for reading to the end of this journal entry! It was extremely short, but I feel it had a good amount to discuss in there. I always find it interesting to look back in my journal and see what I was documenting when, and how my thoughts on the paranormal have changed over time. The next article will be about a location in Cornwall, England, so I'm really looking forward to that one as Cornwall is a place I've been to many times. It's also going to be the first Cornish location I've documented in the database.

A special thank you goes to Damain, Nicolette, Kerry, GD, Chris Willcx, Nicola Jada, Nita Raveling-Hamilton, The Cornish Ghost Whisperers, Beardo Gets Scared, Starlight Phoenix Paranormal, Paranormal Penny Pinchers, the Australian Paranormal Society, Codegas Codex of Curiousity, Phantom Detectives LLC, Shadow Walkers Paranormal Investigators, South Of Spooky, and Don't Scare Claire for your continued support of The True Paranormal.
