Journal Entry 12

3/12/22 - Entry 12

"The time is currently 04:37am and I've finished my longest investigation via word app (spirit talker) so far. It ran between 02:55:23 and 04:08:54 and it was weird. I had four candles before me behind the ouija board in the formation of a squashed diamond. I had the bear to the right, the KII meter to the left, and a ball on the table ahead of me along with one to the left and to the right (both on tables). 

Nothing happened with the light up stuff or the board, however the KII was providing good results. Somewhere around the 3:33am mark the KII meter shot up to red (level 5) three times in quick succession as I was talking about my nutty nana (my dads mum) as I decided to see if she was present and possibly hindering communication. 

I possibly started this communication tactic at around 3:30am, but I don't know for sure apart from knowing it was before 'Grandmother' was spoken at 3:33am. The words 'dance' at 03:45:05 and 'I was religious' at 03:46:53 would tie in with her too. 

An important detail to note on this word list is where it says 'fighting' at 03:54:53, the app said but didn't record 'I can't protect you' which implies my theory of a positive spirit holding back the negative away from me could be correct as the previous word was 'a bad spirit'. 

Another interesting point is at 03:49:36 the app said 'hiding in the dark' which is relevant as I believe there is a spirit here who hides in the kitchen where it is dark.

I said no prayers before this session and did open the board to any spirit, along with specifically naming both Pazuzu and Zozo. I believe it was after this point that activity picked up, but I don't know exact times. 

Beyond increasing to the red light, the KII only reached the second green light and increased every time I said 'device' in the sentence 'use the energy from this device'.

I may also have seen two apparitions but I don't know when. One was behind me to my left side standing quite close and was a tall and thin man wearing a long black coat but he was entirely shadow and had spiked shoulders. I saw him from the corner of my eye and when I looked directly, he was gone. 

The other apparition was the face of a child peering around the corner kitchen door from the stairs. The face was bald and pale, the eyes were round black holes and the mouth was also a round black hole. I saw this looking right at it but it disappeared after a moment. It wasn't scary, just weird. It was late and I was in a dark room lit by four candles before me so I could just have imagined the two apparitions but I woke up incredibly late in the day (4:30pm) and both were so different and I've not experienced that here before... so it was weird."

My Present Thoughts

Before getting into my thoughts, it's important to quickly discuss a point about the two screenshots of the word list generated. The list was too long to be screenshotted in one, so I had to take two separate screenshots. To provide evidence that the second screenshot is a continuation of the first pictured list, I included the three words prior to the final one spoken of the first list in the second screenshot. By doing this, I've attempted to show that I'm not trying to manipulate data provided, and I've shown the journal entry reflects an existing word list which was generated during that time period. 

This particular investigation I've written about is something I still remember in part, namely in regards to both apparitions. If people ask if I've ever seen a ghost, I do in those moments refer to the shadow figure and child. However, I also say that I'm not sure on if what I saw were legitimate spirits or just the results of my mind in the dark. I have since heard murmurings from people online about black eyed children, and their description is somewhat like what I saw regarding the details of it being a child with black holes for eyes. Also, during the moment, I was incredibly confused about why the shadow figure had a spike on each shoulder. I tried researching if other people have seen anything similar, but the closest it led to was the 'hat man'. It was only when I came across an image of a traditional winged demon that I realised if such a figure was to be viewed from the front, while the wings are behind them, then those wings could potentially look to resemble a spike on each shoulder if the figure was only a silhouette . 

It's also important for me to discuss the KII activity further here too. I am not inclined to hse the KII in the house anymore due to how many unknown variables there are with it. Ive learned that it may detect electronic devices within the house at a distance in bursts. This could be what caused it to flicker upwards occasionally, and confirmation bias could have led me to believing it was paranormal in the moment. It was interesting timing, and could have been significant, but due to the location I feel it can only be labelled as weird. 

Regarding the word list and Spirit Talker app, I feel this journal entry shows quite well why I still hold interest in the app. This app does not listen to what you say, and there have been a number of instances while I've investigated where it's said something relevant to what I'm discussing or where it's spoken about something happening in the environment at the time. Granted, these could be coincidences. After all, picking out a couple of words from a full list seemingly isn't a very high success rate. However, I think the timing and quantity of coincidences does indicate that there could be something to the app. I could also be completely wrong about this. 

For anyone wondering why I called out to Pazuzu and Zozo while using the ouija board, plus opened the board to any spirit, it's because I wanted to test if there was an increase in activity by doing these things. It's also the reason why I said no prayers. People often warn about the ouija board, especially when it comes to calling out to the demonic, do I had to test this claim to see if it held any weight. Nothing of great significance happened, however it is odd that this is the session I saw the two potential apparitions. Regardless of me seeing these, I still say nothing of great significance happened because for me significant activity is physical. 

Significant activity is something that doesn't rely on human senses and it's something that can be verified by others. For example, if I had a photo of these figures then I would deem that as significant as they have been verified by the camera and by people who can see them in the photos. Also, if something had falled and smashed, then that would be significant as I could see and photograph the scene. Anything witnessed or experienced by one person, with no evidence aside their word to it happening, is not significant activity. It may be significant to the individual's outlook on the paranormal going forwards, but it is not significant to the field as a whole.
