4/12/22 - Entry 13

"The time is currently 04:12am and I've just finished my follow up investigation from yesterday's 3am one and I am thrilled to write that the KII meter went mental. I need to try and debunk it's activity, but what I experienced it do is more than proof for me that a spirit was sat beside me and trying to interact with the bear. The next step has to be a recording device of some sort because that investigation needs to be either repeated on camera or debunked. 

I had what has become my usual living room setup out with the squashed diamond candle formation. It was an exact repeat of yesterday's session in layout but with a blanket from the chair being beneath the cushion I was sat on. It did not go ahead of me, only behind to keep my legs and feet warm (and comfortable). 

The session stopped at 02:50:15am and the final word was spoken at 04:03:06. Nothing from the words list stuck out too much as it was said, although I'm sure a couple of things were repeated from yesterday's session, and I need a recording device because I can't remember when the KII went mental, only that it seemed to be for most of the session. Something of great significance is 'my body is close by' which was spoken at 03:12:57. The reason is because I'm pretty sure the spirit was sat or standing beside me.

I was sat in the middle of the room. I held the KII over my hand holding the planchette and when tilting it about 25° to the right, in a way it was still pointing forwards, the lights flickered up to yellow (level 3). If I wrote orange previously I meant yellow (in previous entries). I moved the KII to my right above where the empty patch before me and infront of the bear was and the KII consistently was on yellow when holding it at this angle. I moved it to the bear and it was weaker but still flickered to yellow. 

I did a test and asked for it to make the orange light light up (level 4) and it did. It didn't stay on, but it was trying to. I asked for all but the first green light to turn off. They did. I asked for them to come on again. They did. It definitely wasn't the TV as I've just tried it again near the TV and it's not lighting up any more than at very close range to the TV. Nothing near the bear. Nothing beside me. Near the end of the investigation only the first green light was lit and it rarely jumped any higher. 

I've just noticed 'my body is close by' was said twice during the investigation with the second time being 03:44:33.

The bear also lit up once during the investigation as I was trying to understand the KII results. This was by far the most interesting investigation I've done, and it also said 'good and evil here' at 03:38:31 and 'I'm a child' at 03:18:55, both assisting theories I have regarding this location. I also suspect at 03:10:26 where it said 'growl' that it instead said 'hand' as I remember it saying hand early on but not growl. Either way, I remember it saying hand as I discovered the KII light up more above the hand I had on the planchette. Another interesting detail is towards the end of the session, my right arm began feeling numb as though it was being squeezed by something that was cutting off blood circulation. This was the side of my body which would have been beside the spirit and spent most of the time holding the KII meter. It is fine now.

Nothing else happened in the investigation, but I need to try and replicate the results. Another important detail to note is I only once turned to the kitchen door and asked the spirits to join, I didn't get the feeling anything was in there watching through the session like I did yesterday."

My Present Thoughts 

Since conducting the investigation detail in this journal entry, I have discovered the KII meter to be incredibly unreliable. It seems that certain devices might cause pulses which the KII can detect from a distance to the device, or that the devices can generate some sort of field where the KII will detect it both close up and at a certain distance away. Also, having detailed the KII detecting things when held at an angle, I feel this suggests a potential fault in the device. This kind of thing, holding it at an angle causing a higher reading, could possibly be a technique used by certain investigators to generate false positives. Some may do this intentionally, and others may do it through not recognising false positives in the moment. 

I still do think that the experience I had during the night was significant, but I am biased in saying this as it's my own research. The reason I say it's significant is because of the tests I did where I asked for the KII lights to turn on and off on command, and they seemingly did. Sadly, as there is no footage of this investigation, I can't properly review it to see the timings and if it was all likely down to either coincidence or how I held the device. It's definitely interesting though. 

Regarding the generated word list, which was attained through the 'Spirit Talker' app, without further analysis every single word in that list could just be entirely random with no wider pattern indicated. In the entry, I picked out a couple of words of interest, but that's just five words out of eighty-nine. I'm glad that I showed both skepticism and a willingness to debunk in this journal entry, and that it wasn't just excitement and absolute belief. It's also important for me to discuss the comment about the kitchen a little more. The reason I mentioned it is because if you start thinking something about an area, such as being watched from there, then it tends to make you think or feel that way psychologically going forwards. However, it struck me as interesting that the kitchen, which had given me the sense of being watched in a previous investigation, did not have that effect this time. It doesn't mean the location is or isn't haunted, but I still find it interesting.
