The True Paranormal Database Update

Database Update: 05/12/25

Hello! This will be a very different style of article as it won't feature any research and will be quite informally written. As you may have noticed, there was a large gap between 'Journal Entry 13', which was published on the 9th of May 2025, and 'Ordsall Hall', which was published on the 3rd of December 2025. Due to this large gap, I have felt that it needs to be addressed just to give you all an idea of what to expect from this database through the rest of December 2025 and moving into 2026. 

2025 has been a really wierd year so far with some great ups and downs. The inconsistency with the article writing begun due to a few fairly big negative life events which occured close together around the month of March. Due to this time, I did need to step back a bit from the work I was doing here in order to work on myself. It was during this time that I decided to live stream every day on tiktok, and that was a huge boost for The True Paranormal on that platform. That boost, combined with me getting promoted into full-time work for a four month period beginning from August, meant I no longer had any free time to work on articles for the database. For the four months between August and December, I was busy either being at work or livestreaming. My two days off were spent feeling exhausted and trying to relax through a project I have started on Minecraft. 

However, there was tremendous good during this time. As I mentioned earlier, the daily livestreams on tiktok meant a huge boost for The True Paranormal on that platform. I also branched off from the paranormal there too with the addition of Lego and Minecraft based content. I was extremely hesitant to do this, but gaining an audience through paranormal articles alone is difficult, and so is gaining an audience through legitimate paranormal investigation due to how little happens. So, I felt it beneficial to do Lego and Minecraft content on tiktok to increase discoverability and engagement; this way, people arrive for the lego and then discover the articles. 

The daily livestreams are also a fantastic opportunity for me to sit down with you all, build lego, and chat. You get to know me as a person, and you get to ask me questions about interests or the paranormal. It's proven to be incredibly effective so far; so, thank you to everyone who has followed and donated on tiktok, especially over the last few months. It's fantastic that I now have some subscribers on that platform, as that means a monthly income, and it's amazing that more people are joining the Imp Club (the fan club there) in order to gain access to the discord group chat. 

Something else which has been successful on tiktok for The True Paranormal is what I have named 'The Eternity Project'. This was something I started around summer, possibly sooner, and is a Minecraft realm where I'm creating the lego world I would build if I had unlimited space and money. Access to this realm in visitor mode has been a good perk for people if they subscribe to The True Paranomal on tiktok, and so this project will continue. I can't wait to see how it will all look this time next year. 

I know this is sounding like lots of non-paranormal content, but do not worry. The True Paranormal is still committed to being the world's largest database of paranormal research, and so I will still aim to release two articles a week. These will be published on Monday and Friday, just as they were before my break. The Mondays will always cover locations, and the Fridays will vary in topic. With the return of the articles, you can also expect to see the return of the 'Coming Soon' video teasers, and the article announcement videos. I hope to create article snippets again, but due to finances I have had to change my work schedule a little bit. Before my break, I worked for two days a week in a lego shop with the rest of my time being spent on article writing. Now, I am going to be working three days a week in the shop, meaning the article snippet day has been taken up by working in the shop. So, as much as I want to do more snippets, I don't feel they'll be possible. We will see though.

There are going to be slight variations in the schedule for certain days. The most varied thing will be the start of the tiktok livestreams. I will always aim to start these at 8pm, but on the days I'm working in the shop these may start between 10pm and 10:30pm depending on when I get home. Also, if I'm behind on an article, there may be days where I start the livestream at 10pm in order to give me extra time for writing the articles. If ever this happens, I will always put out a story on tiktok and in the discord group chat to let you all know. 

Also, through December I am doing review videos of the Lego Harry Potter and Lego Star Wars advent calendars; so expect to see a fair bit of content about those. I will eventually do proper photo based videos too showing what each day has given and properly rating them. The Lego and Minecraft content will stay exclusive to Tiktok. All other platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube will remain purely paranormal focused. This will also be the case with the database, with the exception of database update articles. In order to discuss how 'The True Paranormal' is performing, I need to discuss all of it's content, including the non-paranormal content.
