Residual Hauntings, Stone Tape Theory, and Psychometry

Image
Don't worry, The True Paranormal has not suddenly taken to discussing clearly fictitious media. The above image is actually a film which was released in 1972 and is where the main topic of this post, 'Stone Tape Theory', gained its name.  The sources I will be using: 1.   Haunted Orange County 2.   The Haunted Walk 3.   The Ghost In My Machine 4.   The Quietus 5.   Haunted Devon 6.   Mama Mia 7.   Live About Residual Hauntings Firstly before we discuss the theory, let's first discuss the type of haunting which prompted the creation of the theory. It is believed that residual hauntings are the most common type of haunting, and they are the type you tend not to see in popular films. These are considered as non-intelligent hauntings due to not being aware of their surroundings, and so are unable to interact with any passers-by or witnesses to their ghostly presence. They will simply do as they always do, whether that be falling from a win...

The 'Project Reveal - Ghosts of Britain' Team: Lee and Linzi Steer

Image
Roughly 25 years ago, Lee Steer first started Ghosts of Britain. He started by writing up little reports on a website, then he created videos to document what he was finding out and posted pictures online. Roughly 10 years ago he gained a following and became one of the first Facebook live streamers. Lee was born in 1986 in Rotherham, England, and is currently roughly 37 years old. Linzi joined him in investigating around 6 or 7 years ago around the time they first met online in 2016. Linzi is from Sheffield and is currently roughly 53 years old. Lee and Linzi are married and both investigate the paranormal together, along with running their haunted objects museum which is located in Rotherham.  The sources I will be using: 1.   IMDB: projects 2.   IMDB: Lee 3.   Derby Telegraph 4.   The Mirror: Castle Case 5.   Hull Daily Mail 6.   The Mirror: Annabelle 7.   The Mirror: Inveraray Jail Case 8.   Yorkshire Live 9.   Cornwall L...

Help! My House Is Haunted S4 E1 Review

Image
Introduction This is the very first review post I've done for The True Paranormal, so it will be slightly different from the others posts so far. I've transcribed most of the episode up to the investigation which I will list below. I will then comment on how the investigation goes, followed by the conclusion of the episode. I will then write a summary of activity, and follow this with my thoughts and overall review of the episode. The aim for these posts will be not only to review the episode of TV, but to also highlight the residents experience, along with what I hope is genuine mediumship, plus findings of an investigation with the paranormal occurrences which accompany it.  This episode is the first in the fourth season of 'Help! My House Is Haunted' and features Barri Ghai, Jayne Harris, and Ian Lawman. They travel to Peterborough, which Jayne notes has been a settlement since the bronze age, because Kevin and his wife Lisa have been experiencing some st...

Alton Towers

Image
Alton Towers is the largest theme park in the UK, spanning 550 acres of land within the middle of Staffordshire. Home to many iconic rides such as 'The Wicker Man', 'The Smiler', 'Hex', 'Oblivion', and 'Nemesis'; Alton Towers is known worldwide by theme park enthusiasts, thrill-seekers, and families alike. Within the scenic countryside stands the towers themselves, a large house which was once residence to the many Earls of Shrewsbury through history. Before this, it was even home to the iron age King of Mercia: so it's to no surprise that this area is said to be extremely haunted, and even cursed.  The sources I will be using: 1.   The official Alton Towers website 2.   The official Alton Towers website: heritage info 3.   Towers Times 4.   Lost Heritage 5.   Alton Towers Almanac 6.   The Little House of Horrors 7.   Haunted Rooms 8.   Towers Street 9.   Liverpool Echo 10.   Historic UK History The building that is now ...

Stockport Flat Investigation: Cross Reference

Image
This is it: the big one. This post will be incredibly important in determining the validity of the 'Spirit Talker' app. It will not, however, lead to a definitive conclusion. This post will analyse the first five word list investigations I conducted in a flat in the Stockport area of the England. These words lists were amongst the first ten I ever conducted with this app, and so are not as consistent in length as they become later on down the line. An example of this is the first of these words lists is only three words long. I've kept it in this cross reference as these words are still good data, and I've kept the cross analysis to being made of five lists, despite the first being so short, because then it will be easier to keep track of where I'm up to in analysis.  The way this post will work is I will post the images of the tables from one investigation, summarise what I found in that particular list analysis, then repeat until I've summarised al...
